Acceptable Use Policy

This policy explains what you may and may not do on Eugene Housing Hub. It applies to accounts, listings, service offers, profile content, messages, images, and other interactions on the platform.

You may not use the platform to

  • Post false, deceptive, discriminatory, exploitative, or unlawful housing or service offers
  • Harass, threaten, stalk, exploit, intimidate, or target people based on protected characteristics
  • Impersonate another person or organization, or misrepresent identity, authority, availability, price, or intent
  • Solicit illegal activity, trafficking, financial scams, phishing, or off-platform fraud
  • Upload malware, attack the service, scrape data at scale, or bypass security or moderation controls
  • Publish private or sensitive information about another person without a lawful basis or permission
  • Use the platform as an emergency dispatch or crisis-response service

Content and safety expectations

  • Keep content accurate, respectful, relevant, and reasonably up to date
  • Do not post sexual content, graphic violence, hate symbols, or illegal activity depictions
  • Do not use images or descriptions that are misleading, manipulative, or designed to evade review
  • Do not request, collect, or expose more personal information than is reasonably necessary
  • Comply with fair housing and anti-discrimination obligations when using the platform

Enforcement

  • Uploads and submissions may be reviewed manually or with moderation assistance
  • We may remove content, limit visibility, suspend messaging, or disable accounts for violations
  • Serious or repeated violations may lead to permanent account termination and preservation of records
  • We may report unlawful conduct or cooperate with lawful requests when necessary to protect users or the platform
